Excellent service. Great food. Well worth the trip.
Always great food and friendly atmosphere!
Waitress was excellent, but the food wasn't very good.
Best Italian restaurant in Oneonta. Staff are so welcoming and lovely.
This place was great, amazing, food was delicious and prepared nicely!!
Great atmosphere, purely Italian restaurant with amazing food. I had the Pork Chops with Garlic Risotto. There are three other dishes picture below. The other dishes are Ziti alla Vodka, Casalingha, and Chicken Parmigiana.
Food is great
My wife and I ate there yesterday evening. It was our 25th annivesary. It was great. Brian our waiter was fantastic. They offered a gluten free stuffed shells. Was delicious. NY steak was great. Handicapped accessible. Martini was good. Dessert choices were abundant. Will go back when in the area.
The food is AMAZING. But the service is not good, very slow.
The Best Italian food in the US!!! I am an Italian from Rome Italy... a real Italian!!!!! I studied one year at Hartwick college and when I found this restaurant it was like Christmas for a 7 year old. I saw some comments and I'd like to point out that Italian Kitchen belonged to the same ITALIAN owners of Stelle Luna and the cooks are the same as well as the menu. I can guarantee the I have travelled around alot in the states and rarely I found such autentic and highway quality products!!! Every chance I had I would go there and it was always an amazing experience. Real Italian food!!! I am emphasizing this because many restaurants in America say they are Italian but few are authentic like Stella Luna. If this restaurant was here in Rome I would still choose it over the onestamente here. Definitely a place I miss and definitely a restaurant I suggest!!! Must go!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent food and service love it
I attended a dinner meeting there. Stella Luna stated that they would be more than happy to accommodate our group. We were served cold chicken parm, double layered on a serving platter so that the chicken on the bottom had no cheese. The server forgot to give us plates so the chicken sat on the table waiting for the table settings to arrive. The bread was so hard it crumbled like over done toast, the next “course” was eggplant rouletini which was under cooked, thick, and also cold. We then were served pasta that, according to the menu, had sausage in it but there was no sausage. Desert consisted of a small cannoli. So for $34.00 ( including gratuity) per person, we had a small salad, cold chicken parm, some with cheese, some without, eggplant that was tough and most could not eat, a bland pasta, and a cannoli. We will not return! There was only one other table of customers during our meal.
A nice restaurant with good food and wine. The bartender was very friendly and the owner/manager greeted me as I came in and out and made sure I was happy with everything.
We waited for 2 hours for our food. With 5 kids. For simple things like chicken tenders and pizza. Then the staff acted annoyed and disregarded us. We had evening plans and they were ruined by the excessive wait. Plus the menu was way overpriced, no sides with the kids meal, and they brought the food out in 3 different sets over half hour and got several things wrong and we had to send it back. Worst restaurant we've been to in a long time. They didn't offer any discounts or apologizes. Don't come here.
This was a beautiful restaurant and good food.
Consistently the best food in Oneonta. Their lunch menu is an amazing value too.
Great people, great food, great location what else can I say thanks again as always!
The service was very slow between each course. The clam chowder was oily. I’ve had better chowder from a can. The Ceasar salad didn’t taste like Ceasar. The Bologna’s tasted like it can from a can. We were there with 6 friends and no one was satisfied with the food. We will not be going back. Only good thing was our waitress was very pleasant and atmosphere is very nice.
Absolutely the best! Five courses, five stars for Chef Vincenco gracie mille tanto, Angelina and Capitan Rinaldo Diamante (Capt. Ron and Angi Diamond)
Not good. Service and food were dissapoinnting for the price
Wow great dinner the apps were great and fun outdoor seating

Good but overly rich food
Great food and desserts. Our server was extremely busy on a graduation weekend but handled it with grace and professionalism. I will return for sure!
Delicious food, shame they will be closing August 24th, 2019. All the best, your food will be missed.
A great local restaurant with friendly staff in a town where the edible places are few and far between this place is a true gem. Veal was great, sicilian salad crisp and fresh, crispy bread was a unique twist on italian bread offerings, and the drink menu was spot on. Spoke with the owner for a short bit, he is nothing short of a top quality guy. Go here, you won't regret it.
Fabulous place. Authentic Italian cuisine. And the Avanzato brothers are great hosts!
What a wonderful place to have drinks at the bar, sit down for an amazing meal in a beautiful setting. Then, to top it off, the owner Tony Avanzato comes out of the kitchen to say "Thank You"!The BEST restaurant in Oneonta!!
Very good italian food, must try the chef salad for the home made dressing, and the white cheese pizza. Love the atmosphere expecially the wine and spirits room.
Service and food always amazing! I understand why, but it's a shame they're closing after so many years! Good luck to the Avenzato family! Thanks for so many years of great food!!
Meal was delicious...owner was attentive to me...that is important to keep people coming back!
This was my Dad's favorite restaurant in Oneonta. I love their food. It will be sorely missed!
Great food, great service
Pricey food that is fairly decent. Compared to other restaurants in the area it's relatively good food.
Great family gathering place. Vince and Tony are so friendly and engaging. The good is consistently outstanding!
Best Italian food anywhere in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
I just had my wedding rehearsal dinner at Stella Luna a few weeks ago, and I was so happy with the service I received! I don't know why there are so many poor reviews of this restaurant, but let me assure you, do not be afraid to go here! The restaurant opens at 5:00, but they let my party arrive at 4:30 because they knew we had to go the wedding venue after dinner. I rented the conference room to have the dinner, which comfortably fit 15 people. The food was outstanding, the service was prompt and professional, the cocktails were perfection. Everyone was so accomodating, and all of my guests had a great time. I would happily go to Stella Luna again for any celebratory dinners, date nights, or other special event.
This was one of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time - and despite other reviews, it is NOT pricey. I had the lasagna which was by far the best I've ever had in my life - so much so that my wife said she will not make it any more. My wife had the Tilapia with lime sauce and was delighted. The service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended and affordable.
My wife and I have been eating first at the Italian Kitchen and then at Stella Luna for over 20 years. The dining experiences we have had always included outstanding food, professional and friendly waitresses and waiters and the warmth of a family get together hosted by Tony and Vinnie. For any of the reviews where you felt something wasn't quite right, let them know and they will fix it immediately. For a perfect time out with friends or a romantic 'date night' with your spouse; this is the place to go.
This place should be packed.Great menu and specials reasonably priced, in a historic, pleasant atmosphere.
Great Italian food in a historic building.
Very nice setting and the chef is very accommodating, although we felt the quality of the food was not really at the level of the price being charged. $17.95 for Lasagna which came with a small side salad. It wasn't as good as it used to be.
All ok!!!
Simply the best Italian food in Oneonta.
Great place! We got in late and still got an amazing service. Vincenzo treated us with warm Italian hospitality.
Excellent food luv it workers are very nice
